Our Advice
- We would recommend that you see at least three photographers to compare style, service and value for money before making a decision. The following questions and considerations may help you decide the right photographer for you.

What to look for in a Wedding Photographer……

The Photographer - Does the Photographer do all sorts of differing photography? If so he/she may not provide the best service for your Wedding. Do you know who precisely will be doing the photography? Some companies often use free-lance Photographers when they are busy and may even be handling three or more weddings per day. Does the Photographer belong to a professional association? Do you feel comfortable with the Photographer as a person? After all you’re inviting him to your Wedding! The more relaxed and confident you are about the Photographer the better the pictures will be.

The Photography - Is the style of photography to your liking? Do the photos capture the emotions of the day? Do the Bride, Groom and Guests look like they’re having fun? Some Photographers will tell you that they can take any kind of picture, but they are just seeking your booking. A good Photographer will show you examples of his/her style. Also, ask to see photographs from a whole wedding, not just a ‘best-of’ collection.

The Presentation - Do you like the albums, frames and other methods of presentation? The photos may be wonderful but poor presentation can spoil the overall effect.

The Price - We all seek good value for money. We’re also all aware that you get what you pay for. Generally the more creative and lavish the photography the higher the price. Service also affects the price: the best wedding photographers only commit to one wedding per day and are interested in offering a personal service. You can still make sure that you are getting value for money by comparing costs from several Photographers. Wedding Photography starts from as little as $300 to well over $8000. Try to keep things in perspective; if you’ve booked a beautiful location, organised a sumptuous reception and booked an exotic honeymoon, you may be tempted to cut costs on photography, but remember the photos (and the rings) are forever.
